Far from the gloom and doom that seemingly surrounded the club a few months ago, a run of four wins in five Premier League games – including a victory over bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur – has placed West Ham in a far more positive light.

Contrary to popular belief, The Telegraph claim West Ham have no intention of sacking Slaven Bilic and are now lining up a major coup for the summer transfer window in the form of Manchester City’s powerful midfielder Yaya Toure.

The Ivorian started the season frozen out at the Etihad Stadium but has slowly worked his way into Pep Guardiola’s plans and is now ending the campaign with a run of decent form, suggesting the 33-year-old still has a few seasons left in the tank.

He’ll be available on a free transfer this summer if City don’t offer him a contract extension, but Toure’s wages would be significant for the East London club.

So, Hammers fans, would you back a summer swoop for Toure? Let us know by voting below…
