Andre Green has not turned out for Aston Villa since the start of September, with a hamstring injury seeing the midfielder miss a large chunk of the season.

The 19-year-old scored once in his first five Championship appearances of the 2017-18 campaign, and it was a big blow when the teenager picking up a long-term problem.

Last week, Villa boss Steve Bruce claimed that Green had suffered another setback after picking up a hamstring problem in the opposite leg to the one that required surgery.

That said, the Championship club’s supporters are hopeful that Green, who is valued at £900k by transfermarkt.co.uk, will soon return to the field.

Villa are well placed in the Championship as they occupy third position – just four points behind second-placed Cardiff City as we approach the business end of the campaign.

Bruce’s side are without a win in their last two, however, and the Villa fans are desperate for Green to add some guile in the coming weeks.
